Fifteen years in paediatrics, twelve of them as a consultant at Jinnah Hospital in Lahore: running the paediatric ward and the outpatient clinic, leading emergency cover including newborn resuscitation, assisting in intensive and neonatal care, and teaching the residents who came through it.

That is what the clinic is — the same judgement, without the hospital around it. A consultation is unhurried by design. Most of what brings a family in is common and has a clear explanation, so the appointment is spent making sure the explanation lands rather than recording the complaint.

Care covers infancy through childhood: routine consultations, early development and growth, vaccination planning, and feeding and nutrition. Long-running conditions are followed properly rather than reviewed once and forgotten. Where something falls outside paediatric practice, you will be told plainly and pointed toward the right person rather than managed around.

The name began as a way to spread practical awareness about the health concerns that come up most often in childhood, and what can actually be done about them. The clinic is the same idea in person.
